Director Jennifer Smith and Programming Chair Katherine Pearce took one for the team and attended the Toronto International Film Festival in September to brainstorm with fellow Film Circuit groups and scope out potential film selections to bring home to Milton.

Once again, TIFF Film Circuit had organized a terrific weekend of programming for us and dozens of other FC delegates from all across the country. Our team got to participate in roundtable sessions with fellow delegates, learning what they’ve been doing and sharing ideas. Then it was two full days of films, most at special industry screenings, plus the annual Film Circuit reception and cocktail party. Because it wouldn’t be TIFF without a party!

We came away with loads of inspiration and a long list of film titles to add to our ‘wish lists’ for when our selection committee meets in mid-November.
