Dialogue free and universal in its story-telling, Stood Up is a short film filled with memories of happily ever afters and love at first sight.

Charming, loyal and perpetually single Ben is tired of always being the best friend and wing-man. After deciding to shake things up, he agrees to a blind date. But, when things go awry, will fate step in and save him from forever being friend-zoned?


About the Filmmaker:

Cjay Boisclair, born a first generation Canadian, has never been much for the ordinary. Since her beginnings in the industry, Cjay has branched out into writing, directing, and acting, winning numerous awards and nominations for her debut script, The Bench. With her passionate drive, Cjay supports others’ visions while creating her own using the skills she has acquired to create interesting and compelling films. She is the winner of the WIDC Short Works Award: Kamloops edition presented by Telus Storyhive for her romantic meet-cute, Stood Up starring Jason Burkart, Rekha Sharma, Tracey Power and newcomer, Aubrey Fix.

Cjay is currently in pre-production or her first feature film, The Bench, the story of a young girl battling homelessness while facing the pressures of school, family, and hopelessness.
