Roman Gubin is an aspiring independent Belarusian filmmaker residing in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Raindance’s screenwriting course in 2015.
While working as an IT support engineer he produced his first short which confirmed his passion for film and storytelling. His 60 second short “The Routine”, a film that he describes as visual poetry, has earned him awards at festivals like Roma Cinema DOC (Italy), Miami Independent Film Festival (USA), TOFF, Special Mention at Festigious and was featured on RogersTV.
Roman will be introducing his short film Pollyanna on Saturday Jan 28 at 4:30 pm.
