Michelle got her start in acting at the age of 11 when she was cast in the chorus of St. James Player’s The Music Man in her home town of Peterborough, Ontario. She received a Bachelor of Arts with honors degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph and was cast in Judith Thompson’s adaptation of Hamlet as the Gravedigger.

After graduating from University, Michelle moved to Toronto and was accepted into Humber College’s prestigious Acting for Film and Television program where she flourished as an on screen actor, and successfully booked several commercials during her first year of being in the industry. She then went on to develop the popular web Series, “Turning Intern”, along with other graduates and colleagues from the University of Guelph. She was also, in that time, pursuing a career in comedy and was accepted into The Second City Toronto’s esteemed Conservatory program where she flourished as an improviser.

Michelle’s breakout role as the title character in Don’t Talk to Irene marks her feature film debut. She will be our guest at the screening at 4:30 pm, Saturday January 27, and will be available for an audience Q&A session afterwards.
