Kim Huffman’s career began in musical theatre, after graduating from Sheridan College. She starred as Cosette in the original Canadian production of Les Miserables, which led her to London to study opera. There she began acting in British TV and film, landing her first lead role opposite Ewan McGregor in the highly acclaimed mini-series “Lipstick on Your Collar” created by Dennis Potter.

With her focus firmly shifted to acting, Huffman moved to New York to further study and work in theater. While performing at Shakespeare and Co. in Lenox, Mass., Huffman was offered her first TV series in Canada. As a series lead she was nominated twice and won a Gemini Award for her portrayal of heroin addict / investment banker Ann Krywarik on the hit series “Traders” (TV Series 1996-2000).

Huffman has continued to work in film and TV in Canada, the US and Europe. She returned to her musical theatre roots, taking on the lead role of Donna in the Toronto stage production of Mamma Mia for one year.

In 2009 Huffman starred in the CBC series “Wild Roses” playing the struggling rancher and single mom of three daughters, a role which she was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Dramatic Series at the “Monte-Carlo TV Festival”. Internationally honored films that Huffman has starred in include Looking For Leonard (SXSW, London, Los Angeles, Durban, Montreal International Festivals), De Grot (nominated for the Netherlands Golden Calf), and Three and a Half.

Huffman has also made numerous commercials all over the world, including 3 Silver Lion winners. Huffman now lives and works in Toronto with her husband and two daughters, and teaches film and tv acting at Randolph College.
