Amanda Ann-Min Wong has been a storyteller ever since she can remember. Growing up, she found her voice in poetry and short stories. As a teenager, she fell in love with the art of filmmaking as a medium for storytelling. Her work aims to explore psychological conflict through use of subtle dialogue and sound.

Originally from Singapore, Amanda currently resides in Toronto but has lived in Milton on and off since 2012 and still visits her family here regularly. In fact, in her first year of film school, the first film she ever shot on 16mm B&W was of the Milton Farmers Market.

A BFA graduate of Ryerson University’s film school, Amanda has worked on numerous television and film productions, and currently works at Breakthrough Entertainment in Toronto.

Amanda Ann-Min Wong will be introducing her short film, Swim Low, at 2:00 pm, Sunday January 29
