We are proud to announce the fourteen remarkable feature films that will be presented at the 9th annual Milton Film Festival, all carefully curated by our selection committee. From comedies and dramas to documentaries, romances, thrillers and more, there truly is something for everyone!

The festival kicks off January 29th when we start the rollout of our nine Virtual film selections for home viewing (plus our Short Film Extravaganza!), to be followed by five in-person screenings at the John Elliott Theatre in Georgetown starting February 4th. Some of the highlights include:

  • The groundbreaking Indigenous Canadian dystopian thriller NIGHT RAIDERS, starring Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Amanda Plummer
  • SPENCER, featuring a stunning performance by Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana
  • The acclaimed documentary JULIA, about the life of Julia Child
  • The German hit I’M YOUR MAN, a heartwarming science-fiction romance starring Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens
  • THE RESCUE – a riveting documentary about efforts to free 12 boys and their coach from an underwater cavern in Thailand in 2018
  • MASS, an emotional and thought-provoking drama about two families coping with unimaginable tragedy, starring Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale)
  • The (very) darkly comedic Canadian-Norwegian neo-noir THE MIDDLE MAN, starring Paul Gross and Pål Sverre Hagen (Kon Tiki)
  • The delightful historical comedy DÉLICIEUX, about a disgraced chef in pre-Revolutionary France trying to start the country’s first restaurant

Plus our short film program, audience Q&As, interviews with special guests and more!

We will be letting you know which of these films will be screening in the theatre and which ones online very shortly, as well as announcing our remarkable lineup of short films by local and regional filmmakers. But in the meantime, take a look at our complete feature film lineup…
